Rune list. This is the list of all the runes in Diablo II Expansion. Runes only impart their stats once they are socketed into an item. Also see runes and runewords . To upgrade runes you are required to use 2 or 3 runes (plus a gem) of the level below the one you want to create in order to make 1 rune of the wanted rank. The Horadric Cube has many recipes which allow you to add Sockets to an item, following specific rules to determine the resulting number.
